THE CORE OF ROSE HILL'S SERVICE IS THE RESIDENTIAL REHABILITATION PROGRAM. IN A STEP BY STEP PROCESS, ROSE HILL'S MENTAL HEALTH TEAM DIRECTS A COMPREHENSIVE PROGRAM, INCLUDING CLINICAL CARE, THERAPEUTIC WORK, JOB READINESS CLASSES, SOCIAL INTERACTION AND RECREATION. CONCURRENTLY, A PSYCHIATRIST WORKS CLOSELY WITH EACH RESIDENT TO DEVELOP AN EFFECTIVE MEDICATION REGIMEN. LENGTHS OF STAY ARE DETERMINED BY AN INDIVIDUALIZED TREATMENT PLAN. THE PROGRAM, WHICH IS LICENSED BY THE STATE OF MICHIGAN, CAN ACCOMMODATE UP TO 46 RESIDENTS AT A TIME (INCLUDING CO-OCCURRING SERVICES). SIGNIFICANT ACHIEVEMENTS FOR 2018:1) ACHIEVED MAJOR IMPROVEMENTS IN RESIDENTS' PSYCHOLOGICAL FUNCTIONING ALONG WITH SUBSTANTIAL REDUCTION IN THEIR SYMPTOMS OF PSYCHOSIS AS DETERMINED BY EVIDENCE ASSESSMENT TOOLS.2) IMPLEMENTED RO DBT GROUP AND INDIVIDUAL THERAPY FOR INDIVIDUALS DIAGNOSED WITH OBSESSIVE COMPULSIVE PERSONALITY DISORDER, PERSONALITY DISORDER NOS, CO-OCCURRING MENTAL HEALTH DIAGNOSIS WITH AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER AND GENERALIZED ANXIETY DISORDER. WE ARE THE FIRST RESIDENTIAL FACILITY IN THE COUNTRY TO DO SO.3) ADMINISTRATION OFFICE FOR TLP/CSP RESIDENTS CONTINUED OUTCOME STUDY WITH RESIDENTS AT DISCHARGE, 6 MONTHS, 12 MONTHS AND 18 MONTHS AFTER DISCHARGE WITH A 40% OVERALL DECREASE IN SYMPTOMS SINCE ADMISSION.4) REFINED CO-OCCURRING PROGRAM MODULE TO INCLUDE MORE GROUP COMMUNITY INTEGRATION AND INCREASED PSYCHO-EDUCATION GROUPS SUCH AS 12 STEP YOGA, SMART RECOVERY AND THE REFUGE MEETINGS.5) OBTAINED A FOUNDATION GRANT TO START THE JOURNEY TO BECOME A CENTER OF EXCELLENCE FOR TRAUMA INFORMED CARE.6) INCREASED THE ACTIVITIES PROGRAM TO INCLUDE OFFSITE AND ONSITE ACTIVITIES 4 TO 5 DAYS A WEEK.7) PLACED 41 RESIDENTIAL CLIENTS, AS PART OF OUR CAMPUS VOCATIONAL PROGRAM, IN VOLUNTEER AND SCHOOL PLACEMENTS WITH 15 COMMUNITY PARTNER SITES. RESIDENTS FROM THE EXTENDED AND RESIDENTIAL PROGRAMS HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO WORK TOGETHER ON ENCLAVE COMMUNITY SITES WHEN CLINICALLY BENEFICIAL.
