Mission

Helping people protect, enjoy and care for natural land in West Michigan. The Land Conservancy of West Michigan serves an 8-county area including all or parts of Allegan, Ottawa, Muskegon, Oceana, Mason, Kent, Newaygo and Lake Counties.

About

The Land Conservancy is 'keeping nature nearby' by permanently preserving land that is important to West Michigan's quality of life and environment. We do this by establishing conservancy-owned nature preserves that are open to the public, working with landowners to create conservation easements that protect natural habitats and open spaces on private property, and through partnerships with government agencies and communities to create parks and natural areas open to the public for the enjoyment and study of nature. This year we completed two conservation easements that protected 282 acres.
