Through AMOR's grant giving to the AMOR Afghanistan health organization, significant impact was achieved in 2017 and the mission of relieving human suffering was realized. 168 Afghans were employed throughout the year in good paying, reliable jobs which brought economic stability to the local economy. Through the medical services at Afshar Hospital and the 10 community outreach clinics, 79,292 patients received medical treatment, 1,974 babies were delivered at the hospital and 11,746 people were vaccinated appropriately. The adolescent health education program was maintained at 3 public schools, reaching 6,053 girls and boys between the ages of 10-18 years annually.
