The Dream Alive Afterschool Program provides holistic afterschool programming focused on academic achievement, service learning, and character development for middle school youth. The program provides participants with the tools, resources necessary to be academically competitive, develop into active engaged community members, and use value based decision-making skills in their daily lives. In 2015, this program was offered at Harshman Middle School, Shortridge Middle School, Shortridge High School, Arlington Middle School and Arlington High School. The after school program served 316 plus youth in the academic year providing 4,050 hours of academic help, 4,050 hours of community service, 2,225 hours of mentoring, and 4,050 hours of experiential learning. Additionally, Dream Alive implemented their 2.0 program that provided Dream Alive programming for sports teams, band programs and other school groups in a more compact schedule.
