Inrc, through facilitation, training and coaching, strengthens the capacity of neighborhood-based organizations and neighbors to mobilize existing assets, support grassroots leadership and foster collaboration.

Information resource and referral services for neighborhood based organizations including individualized training, workshops, seminars, and coaching. Inrc offered workshops to over 700 neighbors and partnering organizations. Topics included collaboration, project management, inclusion and leadership. Three neighborhoods completed the Indianapolis community building institute (ICBI), a 6 month leadership development program designed for grassroots community leaders, and seven neighborhood organizations began ICBI. Inrc provided capacity building assistance to over 200 neighborhood-based organizations. Support included: customized training sessions, neighborhood planning, project consultation, asset mapping, and meeting facilitation. Inrc awarded its 13th collaborative spirit award at its 24th annual meeting, to the free YMCA after school program and summer camp in Laurelwood apartments.
