Alternative House is an emergency shelter for children and youth, providing temporary shelter for boys and girls, ages 10 to 20, who have run away, been pushed out of their homes, abused or neglected. While at Alternative House, youth receive counseling, transportation to and from their home schools and to medical and other services, tutoring, recreation, youth development activities and follow-up.
