BOTH FACILITIES PROVIDE 24-HOUR MEDICAL AND CUSTODIAL CARE FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH SERIOUS ILLNESSES OR INJURIES. FURTHERMORE, 24-HOUR MEDICAL AND CUSTODIAL CARE IS PROVIDED FOR RESIDENTS WHO NEED LONG-TERM ASSISTANCE WITH THEIR PHYSICAL OR EMOTIONAL NEEDS. EXAMPLES OF THISSUPPORTIVE CARE INCLUDE ASSISTANCE WITH BATHING, DRESSING AND INCONTINENCE ISSUES, AS WELL AS ATTENTION PAID TO MEDICAL NEEDS, PAIN MANAGEMENT, AND PREVENTING UNSAFE BEHAVIOR. NORTHWEST OHIO MEDICAL EQUIPMENT (NOME) EMPLOYS RESPIRATORY THERAPISTS, CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVES, AND DELIVERY TECHNICIANS TO AID PATIENTS IN CHOOSING HOME MEDICAL EQUIPMENT AND RESPIRATORY SERVICES THAT FIT THEIR NEEDS. HOME MEDICAL EQUIPMENT REFERS TO ITEMS SUCH AS BEDS, WHEELCHAIRS, AMBULATORY AIDS, AND BATHROOM SAFETY EQUIPMENT.
