The mission of the Ohio Association of Foodbanks is assist Ohio's 12 Feeding America foodbanks in providing food and other resources to people in need and to pursue areas of common interest for the benefit of people in need.

About

The Ohio Food and Agriculture Clearance Programs provide an extensive, nourishing selection of food to families and individuals who are eligible to receive food through Ohios emergency food network. Through a statewide partnership with more than 100 Ohio producers, this program recovers surplus and unmarketable agricultural products. The State of Ohio, through ODJFS, provides funding to purchase these products. This program provided over 55.3m lbs of food to Ohio Foodbanks. Funding was also provided through Governor Kasichs office for the Summer Weekend Meal Program, which provided 1.084m meals and 334,632 pounds of fresh fruits, vegetables and protein items to children at sites across Ohio.
