About

Housing - the goal is to reduce overcrowding in the county jail by having direct referrals into halfway houses for AOD and criminogenic programming. This is achieved through collaboration between the ADAMHS board of Cuyahoga County, Cuyahoga County probation, Cuyahoga County corrections planning board and Cuyahoga County jail to identify individuals with alcohol and/or substance use issues whom have criminal justice system involvement. Identified individuals are referred for treatment in lieu of incarceration. In the spring of 2019, CATS began making plans to remodel a multifamily home to be its first ever level II recovery residence. The recovery residence, scheduled to open in the fall of 2020, will accommodate nine residents. In 2018-2019, the housing program had 1,339 participants, with 66% successfully completing the program.
