(Latin American Conservation Programs in Bolivia, Brazil, Columbia, Ecuador, Mexico and Peru) NCI conserves lands and ecosystems in Latin America through the creation of natural reserves and programs to conserve rainforests and other threatened ecosystems. We do this in a bottom-up fashion by hiring local staff to work in the states and provinces of the region, who work with government and communities to create conservation programs and new protected areas, and building the local capacity to manage and sustain them.
