Access to technology, recreation equipment and activities are provided to the students. Provided piano lessons and held assemblies. Repaired recreation equipment. Funding online information is essential since it opens a world for the visually impaired graduating seniors. Funding for accessible technology increases students' abilities to continue onto higher education. Our braille book program opens the world of information to our students. Sponsored a 9 week course for blind students who have writing goals and objectives to improve their ability to compose argumentative/persuasive texts. A baby to 3 year old program called B-3 to help identify babies with vision problems. The program gets families in contact with agencies and people who can help their child. There were over 130 children assessments done in the year 2018. Funding dental & eyeglass help for students who attend WSSB. Started up a mobile low vision clinic traveling around the state of Washington testing children for abnormalities in their vision.
