About this organization
Mission
To connect people and ideas through community conversation.
About
The Columbus Metropolitan Club (CMC) meets its mission by planning and implementing 60-70 public forums each year, featuring nearly 200 speakers, panelists, debaters, and moderators on a wide variety of topics. Forums always include ample time for unsolicited, random questions from the audience. CMC prides itself on being a credible source of information about current affairs - the organization to which Columbus citizens look to provide a platform for a discussion of social, political, economic, and cultural issues of concern to the community. Topics have included downtown development, politics, the arts, government affairs, business and the economy, the GLBT community, history, global issues, local interest, women's issues, technology, media, social trends, diversity, education, health, sports, nonprofit issues, religion, energy through our Battelle Fueling Ohio's Future series, and leadership with the conclusion of our three-year Chase Excellence in Leadership series.
