Mission

Healthy New Albany’s mission is to create a culture of health. We do this through a variety of health-based community programs and events, a farmers market, food pantry and community garden.

About

Created a culture of health through the New Albany Walking Classic, in which over 3,000 individuals participated in a 10K walk; included in this process is a weekly walking club, which educates the community on the importance of movement towards long term health; provided over 60 community programs, with 2500 participants, including such programs as our cancer prevention and physician activity initiatives. Sponsored and managed a year-round farmer's market with 35 vendors at each market and approximately 1000 visitors per market, providing them access to fresh, local and organic food options; serves nearly 200 families within the New Albany-Plain Local School District.
