IMEC USA NANOELECTRONICS DESIGN CENTER, INC. ("IMEC") IS A FLORIDA NOT-FOR-PROFIT CORPORATION. THE CORPORATION'S PAST, PRESENT AND PLANNED ACTIVITIES INCLUDE CONDUCTING RESEARCH IN THE FIELD OF IMAGERS FOR WAVELENGTHS FROM 1 MM TO 1 MICROMETER. THIS RESEARCH WILL BENEFIT MANY APPLICATIONS SUCH AS MEDICAL RESEARCH, INSPECTION, MACHINE VISION, ETC BY OFFERING INTERGRATION, SPEED AND LOW-POWER CONSUMPTION, SUITED FOR HIGH-VOLUME CONSUMER APPLICATIONS AND HIGH-END SCIENTIFIC APPLICATIONS. THE ACTIVITIES ARE CARRIED OUT BY A TEAM OF RESEARCHERS UNDER OVERSIGHT OF A PROGRAM DIRECTOR WHO REPORTS TO THE GENERAL MANAGER. ACTIVITIES STARTED IN OCTOBER 2016 AND A TYPICAL DESIGN CYCLE FOR AN IMAGER TAKES 3 YEARS. AS THE ORGANIZATION GROWS, (CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O) MORE RESEARCHERS AND PROGRAM DIRECTORS WILL BE ADDED TO ACCOMODATE THE GROWTH.ALL ACTIVITIES ARE MANAGED FROM FLORIDA. MOST (90%) OF ACTIVITIES ARE CONDUCTED IN FLORIDA. THE REMAINING 10% OF ACTIVITIES ARE CONDUCTED IN IMEC'S SITE IN BELGIUM, BECAUSE THE CORPORATION HAS UNIQUE EQUIPMENT IN BELGIUM THAT THE US ENTITY CANNOT GET ACCESS TO.OUR SINGLE ACTIVITY IS RESEARCH OF IMAGER SYSTEMS WITH THE AMBITION TO ADVANCE STATE OF THE ART. WE PUBLISH AND PATENT OUR RESULTS. THE RESULTS ARE AVAILABLE TO COMPANIES ON REASONABLE AND NON-DISCRIMINATORY CONDITIONS. ALL OF IMEC'S TIME IS SPENT ON IMAGING SYSTEMS.THE FUNDING IN YEARS 1 AND 2 COMES FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL FLORIDA ("UCF") AND OSCEOLA COUNTY. IN YEAR 5, WE PLAN TO HAVE 50% OF FUNDING COMING FROM UCF AND OSCEOLA COUNTY, 40% FROM RESEARCH PARTNERSHIPS WITH INDUSTRIES AND 10% FROM FEDERAL GRANTS.
