The Forney ISD Education Leadership Foundation's purpose is to light the way for teaching and learning in FISD through Dual Credit Advantage Plus and program and innovative teaching grants.The original idea for the organization was to award each graduating senior of the school district, a $500 scholarship for college, while meeting the required criteria. This took place from 2004-2017, and will finish paying out the last scholarships in 2022. In order to touch the lives of more students in the district, in 2008, the Foundation launched the Educational Grant Program for FISD teachers, administrators and staff to recognize and support innovative instructional programs and initiatives that positively impact the students of the school district. In 2017, the Foundation partnered with Forney ISD and DCCCD in a dual-credit initiative called the Dual Credit Advantage Plus+ Program to assist students in their cost for enrolling in this program.
