About this organization
Mission
Promoting the Northwest arts community by providing tools, education and exposure to help artists succeed. Creating and promoting art marketplaces which we use to educate the public through activities and demonstrations of the creative process.
About
Two Best Of The Northwest art and fine craft marketplaces in 2018 provided opportunities for 213 artists to display and sell their work. Many of our artists are women and minorities. These community events attracted more than 5,000 members of the public. The events provided interactive artist demonstrations and activities for both adults and children. We continued our Emerging Artist Program providing mentoring of a newcomer by a seasoned artist and showcasing the work of one new artist to the community and the broader public. We partnered with other arts organizations and non-profits to provide visibility to their efforts and network our community of artists more broadly. We continued our long partnership with Preston Kuppe Guild at Seattle Childrens Hospital to raise funds for uncompensated care. In 2018 we added an art marketplace, Art in the Park consisting of 29 artists,to the Waterland Festival in Des Moines, WA.
