About
hhoc mortgage (hhocm) strives to serve its primary mission of serving the low/moderate income, first-time home buyers by providing them with the most affordable financing program(s) available to them. Additionally, hhocm's purpose is to generate excess revenues to assist in sustaining its affiliate, hawaii homeownership center. In 2018, hhocm successfully assisted 10 home buyer families with down payment second mortgages amounting to $479,950. Over our seven years existence, we have cumulatively helped 123 home-buyers with loans totaling $5,695,949. Successful completion of a home buyer education course administered by a hud-approved counseling agency is required prior to loan closing. This is an important piece to our success as we have yet to experience a single 30 day delinquency since program inception in 2010. During 2018 hhocm originated 51 first mortgages totaling $22,315,114 to low and moderate income home buyers.
