Fire and Life Safety: (A) Junior Fire Inspection Program: Teaches 4th and 5th grade students about fire dangers, home fire safety, and how to evacuate and reach 911 in the event of a fire. Students inspect their homes to identify fire risks, and check for working smoke alarms(FREE smoke alarms provided upon request).(B) FireSmart: LA Program: Canvasses at-risk communities, inspecting homes and installing free smoke alarms (following NFPA And USFA policies). Provides escape plans, fire safety brochures, and teaches families how to evacuate and reach 911 in the event of a fire. (C) Older Adult Fire Safety: Teaches older adults about fire safety, including avoiding risks (cooking, heating, smoking) as well as sheltering in place, evaucating when able and proper communication with fire departments. (D) Hands-Only CPR Program: Teaches high school students CPR and use of an AED, per CA AB1719.
