More than 1,700 families were touched by our programs and services in 2017. To attempt to eliminate gaps in services, Provision CARES collaborates with other regional non-profits to maximize resources so patients can focus on their health. Some specific Provision CARES objectives implemented to improve the health of the region include The Caring Plate which provided 15,755 nutritious meals for patients undergoing cancer treatment and/or their families in 2017. Program recipients were from more than 40 different East Tennessee cities and were referred by 9 different healthcare providers.
