REF supports student book clubs, parent-student reading events and a wide range of literacy projects for city students through the annual Teachers' Choice, a program that exists within Give Back, Give Books. The Organization has given more than 42,000 books to city students for reading activities in class and to enjoy at home since 2006. In 2018 the Organization provided more than 1,744 new books or magazine subscriptions to educators in city schools. At the end of the school year, these books are then given to students to take home to their home libraries.This program is primarily supported through contributions.
