Denver Bike Sharing serves as a catalyst for a fundamental transformation in thinking and behavior by operating a bike sharing system in Denver to enhance mobility while promoting all aspects of sustainability: quality of life, equity, the environment, economic development, and public health. The long-term goal of Denver Bike Sharing is to offer a public bike sharing system of 737 bikes and 89 stations to Denver residents and guests. 2018 accomplishments include: more than 305,440 B-Cycle rides were taken by users with half of the riders using B-Cycle at least twice per week. An estimated 638,808 miles were ridden on Denver Bike Sharing's bikes. Based on a survey performed in 2018, Denver Bike Sharing also achieved the following statistics (amounts are estimates): 33.6% of B-Cycle trips replaced car trips, 25% of Denver Bike Sharing's users reported using B-Cycle trips jointly with transit, and 827,708 pounds of carbon emissions were avoided through B-Cycle usage, saving users on gas and parking expenses.
