About
In the fiscal year ending in 6/30/18, Phocused's major program was the administration of the coordinated entry system for families experiencing homelessness. In this program, Phocused served as the pilot administrator for the HUD-mandated CES system, matching and referring homeless families to available housing resources and working with the provider community to refine and amend the system while growing the number of participating programs in the coordinated system. In this program, Phocused referred 840 families and placed into housing 253 families with over 500 children. Regarding our advocacy program: In the 2018 legislative session, Phocused and its peers secured the largest homelessness programs funding ever, as well as the historic level of funding for affordable housing, addressing the twin crises of Hawaii's most vulnerable populations. All Hawaiians in need of these homelessness services and affordable housing are beneficiaries of our advocacy work.
