DRIVING TOWARD A GOAL... OFC IS AN ORGANIZATION BUILT BY VOLUNTEERS WITH DOZENS OF YEARS OF CLUB EXPERIENCE. OUR FOCUS IS TO PROMOTE EXCELLENCE IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF SOCCER PLAYERS IN OCONEE COUNTY AND THE SURROUNDING AREA. OCONEE FC IS A 501 (C) 3 CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION WHICH OFFERS SOCCER INSTRUCTION AND COMPETITION FOR BOYS AND GIRLS, AGES 5-18. ESTABLISHED IN 2008, THE SOCCER CLUB IS GROWING AND WILL EVOLVE AS SOCCER INCREASES IN POPULARITY IN OUR AREA, GEORGIA, AND THE U.S. OFC IS AFFILIATED WITH UNITED STATES YOUTH SOCCER THROUGH GEORGIA SOCCER. FOCUSING ON INDIVIDUAL PLAYER DEVELOPMENT: BEGINNING WITH THE YOUNGEST AGE GROUPS, TRAINING SESSIONS FOCUS ON THE LOVE OF THE GAME AND MASTERY OF INDIVIDUAL BALL HANDLING SKILLS. OFC'S SOCCER PROGRAMS PROGRESSIVELY INSTRUCT AND CHALLENGE PARTICIPANTS USING A DEVELOPMENTALLY SOUND CURRICULUM. OCONEE FUTBOL CLUB HAS CONTINUED ON ITS COURSE TO PROVIDE TRAINING THAT WIL OFFER A CHILD THE BEST OPPORTUNITY TO BECOME THE BEST PLAYER POSSIBLE. AS A CLUB WE HAVE TEAMS AT ALL LEVELS AND AGES. ALL OF OUR COACHES POSSESS A CERTIFIED LICENSE. WE ACCEPT ALL KIDS FROM THE AGE OF 12 AND UNDER. AT 13 AND OLDER, WE HAVE TRYOUTS AND SELECT THE BEST PLAYERS FOR THAT TEAM. WE HOST TOURNAMENTS AND RUN A WINTER INDOOR PROGRAM. WE ARE LOCATED AT THE OCONEE VERTERAN'S PARK THROUGH A CONTRACT WITH THE COUNTY. WE HAVE WORKED HARD TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO SOME 30 PLAYERS WHO ARE IN NEED FINANCIALLY. OCONEE FUTBOL CLUB HAS TWO PAID STAFF MEMBERS TO RUN COACHING AND ADMINISTRATION. THESE POSITIONS REPORT TO A BOARD OF VOLUNTEERS. WE ARE HOPING TO CONTINUE TO GROW AND SUPPORT THE COMMUNITY IN THE FUTURE.
