About this organization
Mission
The Boston Book Festival celebrates the power of words to stimulate, agitate, unite, delight, and inspire by holding an annual festival that promotes a culture of literature and ideas and enhances the vibrancy of the greater Boston region and beyond.
About
The Boston Book Festival sponsored a free outdoor book festival in Copley Square in downtown Boston during the 2014 fiscal year. It was a major success with 25,000+ readers of all ages from across New England attending. 200+ award-winning authors gave presentations and led workshops throughout the day. There were 30+ indoor events including panels, readings, presentations and showcases, and a street festival that featured 60+ exhibitors and vendors and a live music stage. From its inception in 2008, the Boston Book Festival has become a favorite public event for the greater Boston metropolitan area celebrating Boston as one of the major literary cities of the country.
