FDR'S VISION IS A COMMUNITY WHERE EVERY PERSON HAS PERMANENCY AND A CARING, SAFE PLACE TO BELONG. PERMANENCY FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH INVOLVES FAMILY MEMBERSHIP AND A LIFELONG CARING CONNECTION TO AN ADULT WHO PROVIDES PROTECTION, NURTURING, CONTINUITY AND STRUCTURE. IN 2014, MORE THAN 2,000 PENNSYLVANIA CHILDREN WERE ADOPTED. FDR, AS THE PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR FOR PENNSYLVANIA'S STATEWIDE ADOPTION AND PERMANENCY NETWORK (SWAN), PROVIDED TRAINING, TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND SUPPORT FOR AN ARRAY OF SERVICES DELIVERED BY ADOPTION AND CHILD WELFARE PROFESSIONAL AND DESIGNED TO MEET THE NEEDS OF CHILDREN IN FOSTER CARE AND THE FAMILIES WHO CARE FOR THEM. SWAN SERVICES INCLUDE CHILD PREPARATION, CHILD SPECIFIC RECRUITMENT AND POST-ADOPTION PERMANENCY SERVICES, TO NAME A FEW. OUR AGENCY'S WORK HAS BEEN EXTENDED INTO SCHOOLS THROUGH THE DELIVERY OF BULLYING PREVENTION PROGRAMS AND SERVICES.
