MOUNT NITTANY MEDICAL CENTER IS AN ACUTE CARE HOSPITAL AND IS AN AFFILIATE OF MOUNT NITTANY HEALTH SYSTEM (HEALTH SYSTEM) WHICH INCLUDES MOUNT NITTANY MEDICAL CENTER, MOUNT NITTANY MEDICAL CENTER HEALTH SERVICES, CENTRE COUNTY CHILDREN'S ADVOCACY CENTER, AND THE FOUNDATION FOR MOUNT NITTANY MEDICAL CENTER. FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2018, MOUNT NITTANY MEDICAL CENTER PROVIDED CARE TO THE FOLLOWING NUMBER OF PATIENTS:TOTAL NUMBER OF: INPATIENTS 14,365, OUTPATIENTS 312,422 AND ER VISITS 54,388 TOTAL MEDICARE AND MEDICARE ADVANTAGE: INPATIENTS 7,346, OUTPATIENTS 130,139 AND ER VISITS 16,492 TOTAL MEDICAID AND MEDICAID HMO: INPATIENTS 1,557, OUTPATIENTS 23,733 AND ER VISITS 9,238TOTAL SELF PAY: INPATIENTS 252, OUTPATIENTS 9,284 AND ER VISITS 2,493MOUNT NITTANY MEDICAL CENTER DID NOT DENY MEDICAL SERVICES TO ANY INDIVIDUALS INCLUDING THOSE THAT HAD PRIVATE INSURANCE, MEDICARE, MEDICAID, PUBLIC HEALTH INSURANCE, OR NO INSURANCE.2) EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT:MOUNT NITTANY MEDICAL CENTER OPERATES AN EMERGENCY ROOM 24 HOURS A DAY, 365 DAYS A YEAR PROVIDING SERVICES TO ALL MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY REGARDLESS OF THEIR ABILITY TO PAY AND DENIED ZERO PATIENTS REQUESTING SUCH SERVICES.
