EARLY CHILDHOOD LEARNING:The JCC's award-winning Early Childhood Learning Center gives children a balanced program that is specifically tailored to the individual child. The teachers all have specialized training in early childhood education and participate in ongoing professional development to ensure the very highest quality of education. At JCC, children of all faiths are embraced. The JCC teaches Jewish values - such as charity, kindness, and repairing the world and celebrates Jewish culture in a fun, inclusive way. This emphasis contributes to the JCC's excellent track record in preparing children for kindergarten - and life.YOUTH:The JCC provides a safe, enriching and fun after school experience for children in grades K-5 called J University. Children are picked up at local schools and taken to the JCC for an afternoon of programming, where they have the option to join in on specialized lessons, leagues and classes. Youth programs also include programming on days when schools are closed and during winter and spring breaks, as well as social programs for children and teens, such as the popular Saturday Night out program. During the summer, children grades K-10 participate in Camp J, a day camp with 40 years of history in the Orlando community. The camp provides children with a traditional camp experience full of creative and athletic activities, all in a uniquely Jewish cultural environment.SPORTS & FITNESS:Wellness of the individual is a core part of the JCC's mission. The JCC is a fitness center that is not just good for the heart - but has a heart, too. In addition to a complete fitness center, the JCC also offers personal training, sports leagues and classes for children and adults, as well as group exercise classes. The JCC's adult and youth basketball leagues have involved thousands of players over the last several decades. The JCC's Maitland location also features tennis and swimming programs.
