Civic's live theatre program - includes four professional mainstage productions per year and an annual theatre school production staged in the historic 500-seat Nineteenth Street Theatre. In addition, more intimate productions, playwright events, and readings are staged in the adjacent 92-seat Theatre 514. Productions range from literature-based productions, provocative dramas, Broadway musicals, lesser-known off-Broadway pieces and new works by local playwrights. Playwright events and readings compliment productions. Last year, more than 50 public performances were mounted and 14,000 tickets sold.
