Client outreach - A Woman's Place (AWP) offers services to victims of domestic violence and their children that provide them the opportunity to make choices and changes that will lead to safer and healthier living. These services include crisis intervention, safety planning, legal representation, legal advocacy and counseling services. From 7/1/2018- 6/30/2019 the AWP professional team responded to 2,340 domestic violence victims or clients, provided 2,209 clients with crisis intervention and safety planning at the time of incident, delivered 10,046 hours of individual and group counseling services, afforded legal representation to 99 clients, consisting of 117 cases for divorce, custody or support, supplied advocacy or emergency justice assistance for 3,431 cases, accompanied 1,028 victims to civil and legal proceedings, and assisted 747 victims with protection from abuse orders.
