Mission: To increase social, economic, and political opportunities for Maine women and girls through public policy and leadership development.

Research, outreach, and public education on the challenges facing Maine women and girls and their policy solutions. In 2017, MWPC hosted the Maine Women's Summit on Economic Security, convening approximately 250 activists, donors, elected officials and members of the media to examine the challenges women face and to identify solutions. We published, in partnership with the Maine Children's Alliance, 'Investing in Our Future: How Maine Can Prepare Our Children to Become Tomorrow's Leaders', a report outlining the challenges facing families with young children and specific strategies to address them. In addition, we addressed approximately 100 students and community members about the challenges facing women and policy solutions.
