IN 2018, 435 INDIVIDUALS (OVER 130 FAMILIES) BENEFITED FROM IHN'S PROGRAMS INCUDING: EMERGENCY SHELTER, CONSISTING OF 38+ CONGREGATIONS AND OVER 1150 VOLUNTEERS PROVIDING SHELTER, MEALS, AND HOSPITALITY ANNUALLY; THE HOME FOR GOOD PROGRAM, A RENTAL, RELOCATION AND CASE MANAGEMENT HOUSING SUPPORT SERVICE; AND THE YOUTH AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM, A FREE TUTORING AND ENRICHMENT PROGRAM FOR K-12 CHILDREN FROM THE IHN SHELTER AND HOUSING PROGRAMS. IHN STAFF CONSISTS OF 4 FULL TIME AND 3 PART TIME EMPLOYEES.THE SHELTER PROGRAM PROVIDED 22 HOMELESS FAMILIES /75 INDIVIDUALS (65% WERE CHILDREN UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE) WITH 52 WEEKS OF SHELTER AND 10,238 MEALS. MEANWHILE THE FAMILIES MET WEEKLY WITH CASE MANAGER AT THE FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER TO DEVELOP A PLAN TO SECURE JOBS & HOUSING. IHN HOMELESS PREVENTION - HOME FOR GOOD PROGRAM PROVIDED 271 PEOPLE FROM 130 ESSEX FAMILIES WITH BACK RENT, UTILITY, RELOCATION SECURITY DEPOSITS, FOOD, CASE MANAGEMENT AND OTHER NEEDED SERVICES TO PREVENT HOMELESSNESS. ADDITIONALLY IHN PROVIDED ON GOING CASE MANAGEMENT TO 43 PARENTS AND CHILDREN IN PERMANENT SERVICE-ENRICHED AFFORDABLE HOUSING UNITS IN ORANGE AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES, THROUGH A PARTNERSHIP WITH AFFORDABLE HOUSING DEVELOPERS.
