Our services prevent and reduce isolation, protecting older adults from depression and related serious health consequences. Whether you are a grandparent raising a grandchild, an elder with health concerns, a caregiver for a loved one who is ill, or an older adult living alone... Grandfamily Resource Center: Sown connects at-risk children and the grandparents who are raising them to our comprehensive continuum of education, health, and social services designed especially for these families. Sown provides grandparent support groups, parenting education programs, educational workshops for grandparents and grandchildren, crisis intervention, and individual support to access resources/services. Sown inaugurated a family literacy program to promote literacy, school readiness and academic success for young children who are being raised by their grandparents.
