Non residential services: Our legal advocacy program aims to help domestic violence victims receive justice by increasing their understanding of, and access to, the protections afforded to them by the law. On a given day, Women Aware's legal advocates are in the courthouse assisting survivors of domestic violence navigate the judicial system by filing for a temporary restraining order, attending final restraining order hearings, and submitting applications for custody, child support, and other parenting concerns. Children's trauma therapy: Our licensed therapists offer counseling for child witnesses of domestic violence ages 3-12 and supportive services to non-offending caretakers.
