Education program: YMCA of Garfield collaborates with the Garfield Board of Education in educating children from 3-4 years of age. Garfield is in the Abbot School District and is contracted by the board of education to house 90 students. YMCA of Garfield runs a before and after school program to help working parents. The program runs from 7:00am-8:45am and 2:45pm-6:00 pm Monday- Friday. This program provides a safe environment for children to be educated in nutrition and healthy lifestyles along with tutoring and homework time.
