About this organization
Mission
Cuisine for Healing is a nonprofit organization committed to making nutritious, delicious food readily available to people combating disease while providing education about the power of healing food. Our vision: a world where cancer and other related illnesses are prevented, treated and even eliminated through the power of healthy food.
About
2018 Cuisine for Healing purchased our own building and started the process to build our own commercial kitchen which would allow us to cook 5 days a week. We currently are only allowed to cook 2 & 1/2 days a week in our donated space. Our volunteer drivers drove 28340 miles and delivered 12,189 meals to people in Tarrant County battling life threatening diseases and we donated additional over 800 meals to the homeless. All while working hard to raise funds to purchase our building and built a commercial kitchen. This year we have served more clients with shorter wait times since we prioritized client referrals based on level of need for services and began assessing progress every 30 days to determine whether continuation of services is needed. As we prepare to celebrate 10 years, while we are excited about the growth and the future, finances are strained.
