To support a resilient and equitable food system on Martha's Vineyard by providing food and agricultural education and developing infrastructure to make a year-round local food system viable, our programs include: -Community food education programs help islanders of all ages learn to grow food, connect to local farms, and feel empowered to make healthy eating choices. -Food equity and recovery reduces food waste through recovery, redistribution and recycling; and increases access to healthy, fresh food for all islanders. -Farm hub is located at the former Thimble Farm, and includes the operation of a 33,000 square-foot hydroponic and aquaponic greenhouse, workshops and training for backyard growers and farmers, homestead style orchard, community garden, and land for lease to local farmers.
