Mission

Our mission is to rescue unwanted horses who have suffered from abuse and neglect; work with various racetracks to ‘repurpose’ Off-the-Track-Thoroughbreds; and take horses whose owners can no longer care for them; giving them all a place to stay until they can be adopted by loving families. The Rescue is engaged with education on industry issues through clinics, educational events, newsletters and other services to advocate for responsible horse ownership as well as the equine industry. We work with regional animal control and law enforcement officers, educate and engage the public as well offer programs for human to equine interactions. We support our city and county Pre-Trial Intervention Program (PTI) by allowing offenders to earn community service hours at our facility.
