About this organization
Mission
Cottonwood engages the Pikes Peak region in art through learning, exhibits and performances, hosting a diverse creative community of workspace for artists.
About
Cottonwood continues to serve the art community by creating a diverse environment and keeping studio space well below market value. The studios continue to be leased at 100% and the organization has built new studio space, using alternate purposed space, as the demand for studios in the building has remained strong. Our patron count for the year exceeded 60,000, making Cottonwood the 6th most visited arts and cultural organization in the city of Colorado Springs. Additionally, Cottonwood has jumped to new heights, serving over 1100 students in 2018. The quality and diversity of what Cottonwood offers has continued to allow students to engage in a wide range of options academically. Finally, the Colorado Farm and Art Market draws over 4000 people with just 5 events during the winter, giving people a chance, not only to enjoy the market, but experience all of the options that Cottonwood offers.
