About this organization
Mission
The mission of the Suncoast Partnership to End Homelessness is to prevent and end homelessness in Manatee and Sarasota counties. We envision communities where homelessness is rare, brief and non-recurring.
About
Continuum of Care: The Continuum of Care Program activities are described in both federal and state law and require the lead agency to convene regular meetings to coordinate services, provide education and find solutions to local homeless issues annually. We develop a collaborative application to the Department of Housing and Urban Development. We coordinate a regional homeless census, which in turn provides demographics on local homeless, and a picture of the complexity of the problem. We have worked closely with Sarasota County. Plan development, outreach and education is achieved through public presentations, our website, e-newsletter, Facebook, fact sheets, and resource guides through which we provide help to those homeless and at risk of being homeless to find services.
