About this organization
Mission
The mission of the Art of Problem Solving Initiative is to advance mathematics education by promoting opportunities for advanced study. Our flagship program, Bridge to Enter Advanced Mathematics (BEAM), works to create pathways for underserved students to become scientists, mathematicians, engineers, and computer scientists. BEAM provides a comprehensive pathway from 6th grade through college for low-income students through summer programs, school math teams, weekend programs, and individual advising. With our support, students gain the mathematical preparation, social/emotional preparation, and guidance and support so they can access the same advanced work as more affluent students.
