Individualized Residential Alternative (IRA) - In September of 2016 FMI received the certification to open its first IRA. The IRA is a residential providing respite services, including healthcare and supervision, for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Specifically the agency is certified under home and comminity based services (HCBS) comprehensive waiver including Medicaid reimbursement for day, community, residentail habilitation as well as assistive technology services. Recently FMI has been awarded the approval to open an additional three IRA's. This year, two residents have been purchased and ae in the process of being renovated and are anticipated to open sometime next year.
