Mission

To provide high quality child care and early education to a diverse group of children and their families in safe, healthy and developmentally appropriate programs.

About

Mount Kisco Child Care Center (MKCCC) was founded in 1971 and is a non-profit, non-sectarian childcare facility licensed for operation by the NYS Department of Social Services. Since its inception, Mount Kisco Child Care Center has worked to provide safe, affordable, and exceptional early care and education to the children of the working families of Northern Westchester County. Since opening, the center has served over 5,200 local children and their families. The center strives to make enrollment in our programs accessible to all families regardless of their ability to meet tuition. The center maintains a richly diverse population that truly reflects the makeup of our community in an environment that fosters understanding, cooperation and tolerance. We believe that this policy has long term benefits for the children and the community at large. In order to maintain this balance, MKCCC provides more than 50% of our children with some form of full or partial financial assistance through our scholarship initiative. The center currently serves 160 children, ages 3 months to 11 years. Of the total served, 52% are male and 48% are female. Approximately 40% of our children are of minority heritage, 75% of which are Hispanic, 12.5% African American and 12.5% Asian and other. Approximately 15% of children at the center are identified with some sort of special need and are receiving services, a number which continues to increase steadily.
