About this organization
Mission
Sepa Mujer stands for the well-being and full development of latina immigrant women. Our objective is to raise and unite our voices in order to be heard by the social, governmental and political systems in which we live, and provide leadership skills and legal representation.
About
Sepa Mujer was a support for latinas to create and participate in campaigns to address the inequities that are experienced on a daily level. This led to membership activism in local, state, and national campaigns, such as the green light campaign, one fair wage, public charge, DACA renewal, census2020 and get out the vote. Latina youth participated in girls A.C.T. The goal of girls A.C.T. is to provide protective factors for latina youth so that they are more likely to graduate high school without experiencing suicidal ideation, pregnancy, or gang involvement. Our programs empower latina women in understanding that they have a vital role to play in their communities, that they have unique skills and potential to make an impact now and in the future.
