At our Long Island animal shelter, we believe it is our moral responsibility to protect and improve the lives of abused, abandoned, and homeless cats and dogs, and to place them in loving permanent homes. We provide spay and neuter services for Long Island feral cats and any necessary medical care for pets. We work diligently to educate the public, especially children, on the importance of pet sterilization, responsible pet ownership and the humane treatment of animals. If you are looking to adopt a pet, please view the dogs and cats in our Long Island adoption shelter and then fill out our online adoption application. We are a non-profit, no-kill shelter 501(c)(3) organization located in the heart of Long Island, New York founded in 1994 by Dori Scofield. We are supported solely by public donations and every dollar makes a difference. Your support can save the life of a cat or dog. It is our intention to provide you with the most current and the latest information on our events and fundraisers. We hope you will visit us often and please donate to help us continue our mission of saving the lives of homeless, abandoned and abused pets.
