During the fiscal year, PIC continued to assist independent filmmakers complete their films about subjects and stories of interest to the Pacific Islander population, as well as foster a better understanding and appreciation for the Pacific Islander experience with the general public through broadcasts on public media. PIC assisted independent filmmakers to complete fiction and non-fiction short content of untold stories and fresh perspectives on the Pacific Islander experience with the general public through broadcasts on public media digital platforms with an option for public television broadcast. PIC held community engagement screenings with panel discussions that extended the discussion of subject matter important to Pacific Islanders, as well as other communities.
