AT ITS HISTORIC FORMER CARNEGIE LIBRARY BUILDING, CFAER ALSO OFFERS FREE AND LOW-COST CONCERTS, READINGS, ARTS WORKSHOPS, SCREENINGS AND ART EXHIBITIONS TO THE CHILDREN, FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS FROM THE COMMUNITIES OF NORTHEAST LOS ANGELES AND BEYOND.

WE ARE PROUD TO OFFER FREE AFTER SCHOOL ARTS ENRICHMENT CLASSES TO 19 ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOLS, ALL WITH TITLE 1 STATUS, THROUGHOUT THE COMMUNITIES OF NORTHEAST LOS ANGELES. SINCE OUR 1998 LAUNCH, WE HAVE CONNECTED THE AREAS' CRITICAL MASS OF WORKING ARTISTS WITH AT-RISK YOUTH AND THE PUBLIC IN MEANINGFUL WAYS INCLUDING SIX ART EXHIBITIONS PER YEAR AND THE TREASURED, COMMUNITY-FOCUSED EAGLE ROCK MUSIC FESTIVAL, WHICH OCCURS ON SIX-BLOCKS OF COLORADO BOULEVARD. CAPACITY AUDIENCES ATTEND OUR FREE AND LOW-COST EDUCATION PROGRAMS, CONCERTS, WORKSHOPS, LECTURES AND IMMERSIVE EVENTS IN A BEAUTIFUL, HISTORIC SPACE, A FORMER CARNEGIE LIBRARY, AS WELL AS OUT IN THE COMMUNITY.CFAER IS COMMITTED TO CULTURAL EQUITY AND TO INCREASING ACCESS TO THE ARTS FOR EVERYONE THROUGHOUT NORTHEAST LOS ANGELES, PARTICULARLY THOSE WHO ARE UNDERSERVED.
