Airport Marina Counseling Service (AMCS) has been serving the community for over 56 years. The mission of AMCS is two-fold: to provide affordable, community-based mental health services and to train mental health therapists. AMCS helps thousands of people annually and trains over fifty therapists a year. We serve the underserved and disadvantaged with little or no access to mental health care. Programming includes individual, family, child and couple's therapy; group therapy; an immediate intervention program; an at-risk kids program and psychiatric services. AMCS recently added specialized services for the LBGT community. The majority of the therapists in training at AMCS rate their training as exceptional with over 80% of clients reporting extreme satisfaction with the services offered at the clinic.
