RAM PRESENTS APPROXIMATELY 20 EXHIBITS ANNUALLY TO ENGAGE OUR DIVERSE, MULTI-ETHNIC COMMUNITY. ONE OF THE MUSEUM'S MOST IMPORTANT GOALS IS "TO BUILD ORGANIZATIONAL CAPACITY AND COMMITMENT TO AUTHENTICALLY ENGAGE THE DIVERSE RESIDENTS OF INLAND SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA THROUGH MEANINGFUL ARTS CURATION, CREATION, DIALOGUE AND PARTICIPATION RELEVANT TO THEIR DISTINCT AND SHARED EXPERIENCES." WE SUPPORT OUR LOCAL ARTIST COMMUNITY THROUGH EXHIBITS AND EVENTS, ANDVIA OUR ASSOCIATION WITH THE ART ALLIANCE, PNET (PRINTMAKERS NETWORK), PAAR (PLEIN AIR ARTISTS OF RIVERSIDE) AND PAN (PHOTO ARTISTS NETWORK). ADDITIONAL EXHIBITIONS EXPLORE OUR "SURVEY" STYLE PERMANENT COLLECTION,WORK BY OTHER NOTEWORTHY ARTISTS, PARTICULARLY FROM CALIFORNIA, AND THE BEST WORK FROM EMERGING STUDENTS ARTISTS - FROM MIDDLE SCHOOL TO GRADUATE STUDENTS.OUR COMMUNITY OUTREACH INCLUDES PARTICIPATION IN RIVERSIDE'S ART WALK AND FIRST SUNDAY PROGRAMMING, WHICH OFFERS FREE ADMISSION AND ACTIVTIES FOR ALL. RAM IS A BLUE STAR MUSEUM THAT OFFERS FREE ADMISSION TO THE NATION'S ACTIVE-DUTY MILITARY PERSONNEL AND THEIR FAMILIES, INCLUDING NATIONAL GUARD AND RESERVE, FROM MEMORIAL DAY THROUGH LABOR DAY. RAM ALSO GIVES FREE ADMISSION TO COURT APPOINTED SPECIAL ADVOCATE VOLUNTEERS AND CASE CHILDREN.MUSEUM GUIDES ARE AVAILABLE SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS, 1 P.M. - 2:30 P.M., AND FIRST THURSDAYS, 6:30 P.M. - 8 P.M., TO GIVE YOU TOURS OF OUR BUILDING, HISTORY, AND OUR EXHIBITS.NOTEWORTHY IN 2018, RAM'S ART ALLIANCE GROUP ORGANIZED IN COLLABORATION WITH THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE'S PARKS, RECREATION, AND COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPARTMENT AND THE RIVERSIDE UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT (RUSD), ART FLOAT-RIVERSIDE, A SIGNATURE FREE COMMUNITY ART EVENT THAT INVOLVED HUNDREDS OF HUGE, FLOATING, HAND-PAINTED SPHERES (BY SCHOOL CHILDREN AT 48 RUSD SCHOOLS) IN LAKE EVANS AT FAIRMOUNT PARK. RAM ALSO ORGANIZED A RIVERSIDE LOVE STORY ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCY PROJECT INSPIRED BY THE EXHIBITION WENDY MARUYAMA: E.O. 9066. RAM PARTICIPATED IN THE PACIFIC STANDARD TIME: LA/LA INITIATIVE.
