Playground is a leading playwright incubator and operator of the theatre community hub, Potrero Stage. Playground's mission is to support the development of significant new local voices for the theatre with a deep commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. Playground has developed a unique model for identifying and nurturing the Bay Area's best new writers and helping introduce these artists and their work to the broader Bay Area and, ultimately, national theatre communities. Through its new play incubation, production and presenting programs, Playground supports more than 500 local artists and reaches over 10,000 annually.
