Mission

The mission of California FarmLink is to invest in the prosperity of farmers and ranchers through lending, education, and access to land.

About

FarmLink's loan program provides flexibly structured financing to underserved, low-income, immigrant and beginning farmers throughout the state, for operations, equipment, and land. We serve borrowers who would otherwise have difficulty securing financing due to limited business history and collateral, limited or no credit history, small loan size, and language barriers. FarmLink also directs farmers to other sources of financing suited to the scale and type of the farming business. FarmLink made 60 and 41 loans, with an average loan size of $46,018 and $81,699 during 2018 and 2017, respectively. We help growers plan for land purchase and provide long-term land loans. With farm ownership, farmers build equity, invest in improvements to soil, farm infrastructure and even farm housing.
